DSP Architect (AI): Designing and simulating high-speed, low-power electrical and optical transceivers using PAM4 and advanced modulation for AI and cloud infrastructure with an accent on DSP architectures, FEC, and equalization. Focus on prototyping innovative algorithms, building bit-true models, and conducting hands-on chip bring-up and validation in a lab environment.

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite). Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals).

Salary: $119,620 – $179,200 per annum

What you will do

• Architect and simulate advanced DSP systems, defining key features, performance targets, and detailed specifications.
• Research DSP techniques for high-speed SerDes and optical communication channels.
• Prototype and evaluate algorithms for equalization, adaptation, and Forward Error Correction (FEC).
• Develop and validate DSP algorithms in C++, MATLAB, or Python within simulation environments.
• Build bit-true models of DSP architectures to guide hardware implementation.
• Conduct chip bring-up and system validation in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's/PhD with 2+ years of experience.
• Completed graduate coursework in at least two areas: DSP, Digital Communications, Information Theory, Coding Theory, or Probability Theory.
• Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python.
• Eligibility to access technology/software subject to U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Experience with FFE/DFE, adaptive filters, Clock and Data Recovery (CDR), and Maximum likelihood sequence detection.
• Knowledge of optical components (lasers, modulators, filters, photodetectors, TIAs).
• Experience with signal integrity, ADC-based wireline transceivers, or coherent optical communication.
