What you will do

• Maintain artistic consistency by following lighting standards, workflows, and IP aesthetic guidelines.
• Own lighting direction with Art Leadership to create a cinematic atmosphere and strong composition.
• Use engine lighting tools to build lighting schemes across a range of environments.
• Optimize lighting setups, shadows, post-processing, and related systems for real-time performance.
• Troubleshoot lighting, rendering, and visual clarity issues while preserving artistic intent.
• Create and maintain documentation for lighting workflows, standards, and best practices; mentor an intermediate Lighting Artist.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience lighting environments and scenes in a video game production pipeline.
• Strong lighting theory, color space, exposure, and physically based natural lighting knowledge.
• Insight into cinematography and dramaturgy, including scene blocking and mood-setting lighting.
• Deep understanding of real-time rendering principles and PBR workflows.
• Experience with post-processing, exposure, atmospheric effects, and lighting optimization techniques.
• Ability to balance artistic quality with technical and gameplay requirements; strong communication and collaboration skills.
