What you will do
- Provide high-quality partnering support to the GCOO business area day to day.
- Produce and present clear management reporting to senior stakeholders, including CIO and technology/business platform leadership.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks to the business cost base (e.g., contract renewals and resource pressures).
- Drive a robust “no surprises” culture through strong relationships with Business Management and independent oversight of benefit validation and reporting.
- Own financial governance and oversight, including SOX compliance and balance sheet control.
- Ensure interlock on investment/project benefits, payback, and objectives & key results; coordinate with the Centre of Excellence for high-quality inputs and communication.
Requirements
- Fully qualified (e.g., ACCA).
- 5+ years post-qualified experience with deep financial knowledge, including core financial principles and controls (capitalisation and cost management).
- 5+ years of strong business partnering experience across divisions and teams.
- 5+ years leadership experience, including prioritisation, direction, and support in a small team environment.
- Proven ability to engage in constructive challenge to support robust decision-making and apply judgement to resolve issues.
- Comfort managing urgent requests and changing priorities while maintaining delivery of core activities.
