Senior Engineer Digital Distribution (Data Engineering): Designing and managing large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines for client transactions and data products with an accent on AWS cloud components and Snowflake integration. Focus on building robust ETL/ELT processes, optimizing SQL queries, and enabling data-driven analytical capabilities for understanding customer behavior.

Location: Hybrid in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada (must spend at least four full days each week in the office)

What you will do

• Manage application and data integration platforms using AWS Cloud components.
• Build robust data pipelines utilizing modern data engineering practices in a Cloud architecture.
• Lead the full development lifecycle of reporting and integration projects following Agile standards.
• Ensure data availability for business reporting and analytics within defined SLAs.
• Create and maintain technology architecture documentation and design artifacts.
• Collaborate with business owners and analysts to formulate technical requirements for data ingestion and verification.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and big data architectures.
• 5-7 years of experience with AWS (S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, SNS, Terraform).
• 5-7 years of experience building data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Airbyte.
• 3-5 years of experience with Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL (including query optimization/DBT), and Linux/bash scripting.
• BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cortex AI and LLM prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of Ansible.
