Salary: $109,700 - $195,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop software components for hardware-agnostic AI/ML acceleration on ESXi.
• Integrate, test, and certify Linux-based GPU partner drivers and kernel components for use on the platform.
• Package and release driver components following hirify.global/VCF processes.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs related to AI/ML acceleration functionality.
• Deliver features that meet VCF coding guidelines and quality standards, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal virtual driver/device teams and external GPU/XPU vendors to support ML frameworks end-to-end.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.
• Deep understanding of the Linux GPU stack, including device drivers, kernel modules, and user-space components.
• Experience with C++ and Python.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for working with external technology partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX) and graph/ML compiler technologies (e.g., OpenXLA).
• Experience with build infrastructure (e.g., Bazel, Make, Artifactory).
• Experience integrating partner software into products.
