Описание вакансии

TL;DR
Hardware Product Manager (AI): Shaping product strategy and interface logic for smart-device initiatives with an accent on AI-native prototyping and discovery. Focus on translating ambiguous founder-level ideas into structured product artifacts and validating hypotheses before full-scale engineering. Outside Russia and Belarus

Hardware Product Manager (AI)

Unimatch Lab is an AI-driven venture studio from Silicon Valley.

We build our own AI technology layer and a portfolio of AI-driven assets: from consumer AI products and smart devices to local LLM clusters, memory layer, RAM/VRAM optimization, orchestration, and AI software for infrastructure and compute.

Role Snapshot

We are looking for a Hardware Product who can turn an early smart-device direction into a clear product strategy, interface logic, prototype, and execution-ready product scope.

This is not a classic product manager role where you only collect requirements and hand them over. We need someone who can use AI as a working system: to explore markets, test hypotheses, shape user flows, draft specs, prototype interfaces, write landing page logic, structure research, and move product work forward before a full team is assembled around every task.

What You Will Do

  • Shape the product strategy for hardware and smart-device initiatives: target user, problem, core use cases, product promise, and first validation path.
  • Use AI tools daily to speed up discovery, competitive research, user-flow design, spec writing, prototype creation, landing page drafts, and product decision support.
  • Turn ambiguous founder-level ideas into structured product artifacts: hypotheses, user journeys, interface maps, feature scope, acceptance criteria, and launch assumptions.
  • Design the logic of the user experience across device, app, web interface, onboarding, notifications, AI interactions, and support flows.
  • Build or coordinate lightweight prototypes that make the product direction tangible: clickable flows, interface mocks, prompt-driven demos, landing pages, product videos, or interactive proof-of-concept experiences.
  • Define what engineering needs to build without trying to replace engineering: screen logic, API expectations from the product side, data needs, state transitions, edge cases, and success conditions.
  • Work closely with the backend or founding engineer to align product scope with technical feasibility, architecture constraints, and delivery effort.
  • Create clear product documentation that reduces ambiguity for design, engineering, hardware partners, and stakeholders.
  • Own early product positioning: what we say, what we show, what the first user should understand, and why the product is worth trying.
  • Keep several product threads moving in parallel while staying grounded in measurable outcomes and clear next decisions.

Must Have

  • Experience as a tech product, product owner, product strategist, founder-type operator, or AI-native product builder in hardware or edtech products.
  • Strong ability to use AI tools as part of your workflow, not as a side experiment: research, synthesis, ideation, interface drafting, prototyping, specs, landing copy, testing logic, and decision support.
  • Hands-on prototyping ability with Figma, Lovable, Cursor, v0, Replit, Framer, Webflow, no-code tools, or similar AI-assisted product-building workflows.
  • Product taste for interfaces: you can reason about flows, states, hierarchy, onboarding, empty states, errors, notifications, and what makes a user experience feel simple.
  • Technical enough to collaborate with engineers on constraints, feasibility, backend boundaries, data flows, integrations, and API-level product expectations.
  • Strong discovery and problem-framing skills: you can separate real user pain from a cool idea, and you know how to validate the difference quickly.
  • Ability to write clear product specs that engineers and designers can actually use.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, early-stage speed, and direct founder collaboration.
  • English level B2 or higher.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with AI-native interfaces, voice UX, agent workflows, computer vision, sensor-driven products, robotics, edge AI, or embedded AI experiences.
  • Experience launching early product tests through landing pages, waitlists, fake-door tests, pilots, interviews, or user cohorts.
  • Familiarity with hardware constraints: BOM, industrial design, firmware, device connectivity, manufacturing partners, QA, certification, or supply chain tradeoffs.
  • Background in founder-led, venture studio, R&D, or 0-to-1 product environments.
