Senior Level Artist (Unreal Engine)

TL;DR

Senior Level Artist (Unreal Engine): Creating world geometry and compositions for playable levels in Unreal Engine with an accent on modular blocking, PBR shaders, and asset redesign. Focus on producing high-quality environment art that aligns with the Art Director's vision and level design requirements.

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland. Candidates must be based in Europe.

What you will do

• Produce playable levels based on the Art Director's vision and level design needs.
• Create world geometry and composition for levels within Unreal Engine.
• Block out modules and levels, creating first-pass/proxy materials.
• Redesign existing assets and model proxy assets.
• Collaborate with leads and peers to implement feedback and refine workflows.
• Participate in R&D to explore new techniques and improve production pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AAA console/PC game development.
• 3+ years of experience specifically with Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio showcasing playable levels with created geometry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, Max, ZBrush, or Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of traditional art skills, shape, form, texture, value, and color.
• Must be based in Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Unreal 4/5 and environment modeling skills.
• Core graphic design competencies in typography, color, and light.
• Previous experience in Level Design.
