What you will do

• Edit raw footage into high-quality, narrative-driven video content, including explainer videos and episodic pieces.
• Build documentary-style story arcs using interviews, field recordings, and mixed media assets.
• Translate complex product and business concepts into clear visual storytelling for global audiences.
• Apply advanced editing techniques including color grading, sound design, pacing, and finishing.
• Design and integrate motion graphics, titles, and visual elements to enhance narrative clarity.
• Collaborate with producers, writers, and stakeholders to align storytelling with business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 4+ years of professional experience in video editing with a strong focus on storytelling.
• Proven expertise in documentary-style editing using interviews and unscripted footage.
• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and emotional storytelling techniques.
• Ability to simplify complex ideas into engaging, easy-to-understand video content.

Nice to have

• Background in branded content, documentary filmmaking, or educational media.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other editors.
