What you will do

• Monitor complex systems and respond to emerging threats using intrusion detection software.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations of security issues by reviewing log data and triaging security events.
• Handle security incidents, including containment, protection, and remediation activities.
• Design and configure security systems such as proxies, mail gateways, WAFs, and SIEMs.
• Assess risks and threats based on ISO, PCI, HIPAA, and PII guidelines.
• Collaborate on cost-effective security solutions for system and application development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in network operations, system administration (Unix, Linux, Windows), or security operations.
• Experience with intrusion detection systems, SIEM, penetration testing, and secure coding practices.
• Must be based in or able to work from Columbus, Georgia.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, Network+, or Security+.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of industry standard security compliance programs like PCI, SOX, and GLBA.
