What you will do

• Lead the build-out and evolution of FedRAMP High cloud infrastructure using AWS.
• Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules and platform standards for safer, repeatable GovCloud changes.
• Drive architectural decisions across compute, networking, and service design to balance compliance and operational simplicity.
• Partner with compliance and engineering teams to reduce environment drift and close gaps between Gov and commercial platforms.
• Improve operational standards through enhanced monitoring, alerting, and documentation to reduce toil.
• Mentor FedOps engineers and help the team adopt AI-assisted workflows to speed up delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience operating public cloud environments with deep hands-on AWS expertise.
• Production-grade Terraform experience, including building and debugging IaC modules from scratch.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in production.
• Experience working in compliance-constrained environments such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Ability to read and write infrastructure automation scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is mandatory for access to the FedRAMP environment.

Nice to have

• Direct FedRAMP Moderate or High implementation experience.
• Experience building developer enablement infrastructure (CI/CD pipelines, local agent setup).
• Experience using AI/LLM tooling in production engineering contexts.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
