What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable NGS data processing pipelines using tools like Nextflow.
• Build and optimize scRNA-seq analysis workflows including quality control, normalization, and cell-type annotation.
• Develop pipelines for display technology platforms, including variant calling and sequence enrichment analysis.
• Perform integrative analyses such as gene set enrichment and receptor-ligand interaction modeling.
• Collaborate with lab scientists to identify gaps and develop tailored software solutions for data management.
• Manage git repositories and enforce development best practices across the team.

Requirements

• Ph.D or Masters in bioinformatics or a related field.
• High-level proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of git best practices and development workflows.
• Background in bioinformatics applications and common toolsets.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial technical setting.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow orchestration software like Flyte or NextFlow.
• Knowledge of modern developer tools such as pydantic, pyright, or uv.
