Subtitling Technician

Location: Must be based in London, with a hybrid requirement of 3 days per week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Compensation: £30,000 – £33,000 per year.

What you will do

• Acquire, retime, convert, and conform subtitles and SDH from external sources.
• Create and QC subtitles and templates using industry-standard software.
• Investigate and resolve subtitle streaming issues and reports.
• Perform final technical checks on in-house subtitle assets.
• Contribute to expanding accessibility coverage across the content library.
• Develop and maintain company standards and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in London and able to work from the office 3 days per week.
• Proven experience with advanced subtitling tools like Subtitle Edit, EZTitles, or Ooona.
• Strong understanding of subtitling industry standards and VOD accessibility requirements.
• Excellent standard of written English.
• Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
