Salary: $95,000 - $140,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute test strategies for multispectral optical payloads and associated electronics.
• Design and implement automated test solutions using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Perform hands-on optical testing, including detector characterization and radiometric performance evaluation.
• Plan and conduct environmental test campaigns including thermal-vacuum (TVAC) and vibration testing.
• Analyze test data, perform root-cause investigations, and generate formal test reports.
• Coordinate with external test facilities to support qualification and flight readiness verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Optical) or Physics.
• 3-5 years of experience in hardware test, integration, or verification engineering.
• Hands-on experience testing optical, electro-optical, or imaging sensor systems.
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with test automation using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and meet ITAR compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with spaceflight hardware or satellite payloads.
• Familiarity with aerospace environmental qualification standards.
• Understanding of optical performance metrics such as MTF, SNR, and radiometric accuracy.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks and data processing pipelines.
