What you will do

• Provide line management for Test Automation Engineers in Bucharest, focusing on performance, career development, and resource planning.
• Own the test automation strategy and execution for Telematics Control Unit (TCU) validation across Connectivity Test Center domains.
• Oversee end-to-end validation of telematics systems, including vehicle-side functionality (connectivity, OTA, diagnostics), backend/cloud integration, and mobile interfaces.
• Define and implement scalable automation frameworks aligned with CI/CD practices and continuous testing.
• Drive innovation through AI-assisted testing approaches and optimization of regression and OTA validation cycles.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including development teams, system engineering, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing test automation teams, including line management.
• Strong expertise in embedded systems and automotive testing, specifically with Telematics Control Units (TCU).
• Hands-on knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MQTT) and connectivity technologies (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
• English: Business fluent (C1) required.
• Location: Willingness to work from the office environment in Bucharest.

Nice to have

• Experience with OTA validation and Backend/cloud integration testing in TCU/IoT environments.
• Proficiency with HIL / test bench environments and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and ALM.
• Experience building Python-based automation frameworks.
• Proven ability to introduce automation strategies at scale.
