What you will do

• Own end-to-end architecture and implementation of complex backend and system components.
• Design scalable and reliable services that support high-velocity product development.
• Address complex challenges related to performance, data modeling, stability, and APIs.
• Collaborate with platform, applied AI, and fullstack teams to deliver robust, observable systems.
• Improve system reliability and developer experience through architecture, standards, and tooling.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of owning complex systems.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js and clean backend architecture.
• Strong fundamentals in relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and data model design.
• Exceptional debugging skills and strong engineering judgment.
• Ability to ramp into new domains independently and learn quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, caching, messaging, or multi-tenant architectures.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into backend systems.
• Knowledge of infrastructure or platform engineering (observability, CI/CD tooling, APIs).
