TL;DR

Junior Technical Product Owner (Data): Managing the backbone of data services by translating business needs into technical requirements with an accent on scalability and reliability. Focus on collaborating with data engineers, refining technical specifications, and ensuring system health using monitoring tools.

Location: Hybrid (Berlin) - Remote in day-to-day work, but required to come together in Berlin for larger features and architectural decisions.

What you will do

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to refine requirements and define test cases.
  • Guide features from initial idea through development, rollout, and ongoing operation.
  • Maintain visibility and control over system health using Git, Jenkins, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Bring structure to complexity to move services from working to reliable at scale.

Requirements

  • Degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field.
  • Initial experience as a Technical Product Owner/Product Manager or strong technical affinity.
  • Solid technical understanding of concepts like TDD, ETL, and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Graylog).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and translate problems into solutions in an agile environment.
  • Capacity to work independently and take ownership of pragmatic solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with data.
  • Exposure to microservices.
  • Familiarity with the AdTech environment.
