What you will do

• Serve as a senior executive advisor to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and partner with the CFO.
• Lead philanthropic financial operations, providing direct supervision of the Gift Processing function.
• Establish and oversee the strategic framework for managing gifts, pledges, endowments, and complex giving vehicles.
• Develop and approve financial models and assumptions for philanthropic forecasting and transformational giving strategies.
• Set strategic direction, policies, and governance for philanthropic financial operations across the department.
• Lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment to ensure financial sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit finance, healthcare finance, or philanthropic financial administration.
• Proven experience modeling and structuring complex, transformational gift agreements.
• Experience advising senior executives and influencing decision-making at an enterprise level.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship or F-1 STEM OPT extension available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of CASE standards and IRS regulations for charitable giving.
• Previous experience in healthcare philanthropy or academic development settings.
• Familiarity with donor databases and financial systems (CRM and accounting software).
