What you will do

• Supervise daily CDI operations for both onsite and remote teams.
• Monitor quality and productivity, coordinating performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and education to Clinical Documentation Specialists on 3M software and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinicians, coding, and quality teams to ensure accurate DRG assignment and clinical validity.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and performance evaluations for the CDI team.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, as well as CMS regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
• Current license or certification: RN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, PA, NP, or completion of medical school.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital clinical documentation integrity program experience.
• Minimum 2 years of current supervisory experience within a hospital CDI program.
• Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, ICD-10 coding, and DRG reimbursement.
• Expertise with 3M CDI Software.

Nice to have

• CCDS or CDIP certification.
• Working knowledge of Epic EMR.
