What you will do

• Own and evolve web and mobile testing platforms, including framework selection, architecture, and long-term direction.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks and harnesses for unit, integration, and UI testing.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that execute tests reliably and clearly surface failures.
• Implement quality gates (e.g., coverage requirements) and improve pipeline performance, reliability, and developer feedback loops.
• Partner with engineering pods to improve testability, reduce development friction, and standardize reusable testing patterns.
• Mentor engineers on testing patterns, framework usage, and quality engineering fundamentals.

Requirements

• 5+ years building web and/or mobile testing platforms used by engineers.
• 5+ years writing unit, integration, and UI tests across the testing pyramid.
• 3+ years building and maintaining CI/CD solutions enforcing engineering quality standards.
• Deep knowledge of testing frameworks such as Appium, XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Experience working closely with software engineers to design testable systems and features.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to improving developer workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling shared testing infrastructure across multiple product teams/pods.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with containerized testing environments and CI/CD optimization.
• Experience with mobile device farms, test parallelization, or cross-platform test orchestration.
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and automation techniques.
• Experience in a Rails-based application ecosystem.
