What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto Networks NGFWs (physical and virtual) including security zones, segmentation, and NAT policies.
• Lead the architecture and configuration of App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Manage centralized firewall operations and high-availability clusters using Panorama.
• Optimize security features including IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, WildFire, DNS Security, and SSL decryption.
• Collaborate with NOC/SOC teams to monitor, respond to, and remediate security alerts and firewall-related incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead firewall migration and upgrade projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of network engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Proficiency with Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, BGP, OSPF, and routing fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, and SSL/TLS.
• Experience managing high-availability firewall deployments in complex enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE preferred).
• Experience with cloud firewalls (VM-Series) or SASE solutions like Prisma Access.
• Automation experience using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
• Experience with SIEM integrations such as Splunk or Sentinel.
