TL;DR

Senior Power MOSFET Platform Development Engineer (Semiconductor): Leading the full product development lifecycle for power MOSFET technologies with an accent on device physics, process integration, and manufacturability. Focus on conceptualizing, designing, and validating new semiconductor products from initial concept through to industrialization.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Stockport, UK (Hybrid role). No visa sponsorship available.

What you will do

  • Lead semiconductor product development cycles from concept through prototype to industrialization.
  • Design and develop technology platforms using TCAD, Cadence, and Klayout.
  • Analyze data across wafer test, assembly, and qualification stages.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Communicate technical summaries and findings to cross-functional teams and senior management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in power semiconductor technology development, specifically Power MOSFETs.
  • Strong understanding of device physics, process interactions, and failure mechanisms.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK as no visa sponsorship is provided.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Project management experience across development streams.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools like Minitab, Statistica, or SPSS.
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
