What you will do

• Design and develop on-board software for next-generation satellites.
• Work on Embedded Linux for space and ground systems, firmware, and IoT modules.
• Write thorough tests and documentation for all developed software.
• Participate in software design and code review processes.
• Collaborate with electrical, digital design, and operations teams to identify features and system architecture.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to studies after the internship.
• Available for a full-time internship beginning September 2026 for 4 or 8 months.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Toronto office (24 Ward Street).
• 2+ years of embedded systems experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with embedded concepts like real-time constraints and hardware interfaces.
• Experience with embedded operating systems and build systems (OpenEmbedded/Yocto, FreeRTOS).

Nice to have

• Python development experience.
• Knowledge of computer networking and modern protocols.
• Experience with RTL (Verilog/VHDL) and embedded SoCs.
• Hardware debugging experience using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
