What you will do

• Architect, design, and manage the development of new Layer1 features.
• Develop and maintain features using C, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams to bring new components like Phys and Transceivers to market.
• Build instrumentation and telemetry tools to monitor physical link health.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Analyze, mitigate, and fix problems in customer networks in collaboration with support teams.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience (or equivalent advanced degree).
• Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design solutions and implement features independently.
• Must be able to work onsite in Vancouver, BC.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital communication technologies (modulation, signal encoding).
• Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Experience working with low-level hardware components.
