What you will do

• Develop AI-powered tools integrated into VS Code, GitLab, Slack, and internal documentation.
• Implement inference and tool-calling pathways using Claude models on Amazon Bedrock and LiteLLM.
• Define AI-augmented SDLC patterns for planning, coding, testing, and operations.
• Prototype and harden Slack-based chatops for orchestrating internal services.
• Monitor AI usage, performance, and costs to measure organizational maturity.
• Collaborate with security and compliance to ensure safe handling of PHI data.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on infrastructure or dev tools.
• Strong backend expertise with REST/GraphQL APIs and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, TypeScript/Node, or Go.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and secure-by-default patterns.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience building Slack apps or conversational interfaces.
• Knowledge of MCP/tool gateways and agentic orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure management.
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries (PHI/PII compliance).
