Location: Remote, United States (Pacific Time Zone preferred; Southern California a plus)
Salary: USD $200,000 - $250,000

(part of Banyan Software) provides mission-critical Student Information Systems for K–12 public school districts in California and Michigan.
What you will do
- Define and own the multi-year product and technology roadmap to shift the company toward a market-facing posture.
- Establish formal product management disciplines, including prioritization frameworks and release planning.
- Implement AI-first development practices and an AI product strategy to improve district staff productivity and data quality.
- Lead a team of approximately eight reports across development and database administration, building cohesive team structures.
- Own platform architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise deployment models.
- Execute a modernization roadmap for a platform with a significant VB.NET legacy without disrupting operations.
Requirements
- US work authorization.
- Ability to work in Pacific Time.
- Active practitioner of AI-first development capable of leading a technical transformation.
- Deep technical foundation in infrastructure, architecture, and platform operations.
- Experience with hybrid, on-premise, or district-managed deployment models.
- Proven track record of team building and change management in small, complex environments.
Nice to have
- Experience in K-12 software or EdTech, including knowledge of public school procurement.
- Experience with legacy modernization, specifically with VB.NET.
- Professional background in companies with fewer than 200 employees.
