Salary: $140,000 - $175,000

What you will do

• Improve the platform used by product engineering teams to build, test, deploy, and operate software.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment workflows.
• Strengthen database reliability, performance, and operational practices.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability systems.
• Modernize the PHP monolith and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor engineers and establish shared engineering standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in one of the following states: AZ, CO, FL, ID, GA, IL, NH, KS, MA, MI, MN, NC, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.
• Strong experience building and maintaining production backend or platform systems.
• Proven ability to modernize existing systems and write maintainable, testable code.
• Deep understanding of relational databases like MySQL.
• Experience with CI/CD, build systems, and developer tooling.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical planning skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP, MVC frameworks, or Go.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-hosted systems.
• Background in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Experience in healthcare technology or regulated environments.
