TL;DR
Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure (cloud infrastructure and distributed systems): Leading cross-company infrastructure programs covering reliability, storage, performance, security, and compliance with an accent on coordinated execution across backend, infrastructure, and security teams. Focus on managing migrations and rollouts, resolving technical dependencies and risks, and communicating complex infrastructure challenges to executive stakeholders.

Location: United States; remote work is available from the United States, or the role can be held from the San Francisco or New York hubs.

Annual base salary: $185,000–$317,000 USD.

What you will do

  • Lead execution, coordination, and risk management for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Drive initiatives across reliability, storage, distributed systems, cloud-native performance, and compliance.
  • Coordinate engineering, security, compliance, legal, and external stakeholders to deliver programs on time.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure service-level objectives across data, caching, observability, and security teams.
  • Develop infrastructure program-management practices and communicate risks, blockers, and technical constraints to executives and external partners.
  • Facilitate testing and rollout strategies for critical infrastructure changes while minimizing downtime.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure TPM or related cloud engineering, SRE, or infrastructure-focused software engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems, including AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.
  • Technical expertise across storage, caching, search, and event-driven systems, including S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, and Kafka.
  • Experience leading migrations, cost optimization, encryption and key management, and reliability programs for highly available business-critical services.
  • Strong cross-functional program and stakeholder management skills, including executive communication and coordination across multi-team engineering organizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience establishing and scaling TPM or program-management functions.
  • Experience with SOC 2, FedRAMP, encryption key management, or other enterprise security and compliance programs.
  • Infrastructure incident management and analysis experience.
  • Experience working with external enterprise or technology partners.
  • Software engineering or site reliability engineering background.
