What you will do

• Develop and implement new platform components to enhance database functionality and performance.
• Scale the database infrastructure by adding clusters to accommodate growing data volumes.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the performance and reliability of existing database clusters.
• Optimize query performance and streamline data ingestion processes to remove bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with the ClickHouse open-source community to contribute features and upstream code.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for the next generation of the database platform engine.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development focused on distributed systems and databases.
• Strong programming proficiency in Golang, Python, or C++.
• Deep knowledge of SQL, database internals, design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid foundation in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for export control compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively across departments.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse.
• Experience with infrastructure tools like SALT or Terraform.
• Experience with Linux container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
