What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain production software for billing and payment product features.
• Architect and modernize the next generation of billing infrastructure to support rapidly scaling product lines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
• Mentor junior team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and pair programming.
• Write comprehensive tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotational work to ensure uninterrupted support and emergency resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience with software development best practices and coding standards.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical cross-functional partners.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Strong passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience building or maintaining billing, payment processing, or subscription platforms (e.g., Stripe, app stores).
• Background in designing and scaling highly available, fault-tolerant distributed architectures.
• Proven ability to build resilient API integrations, including webhooks, retries, and strict idempotency.
