Salary: $123,000 – $172,000 USD / $111,000 – $155,000 CAD

What you will do
- Develop, test, and maintain production software for billing and payment product features.
- Architect and modernize the next generation of billing infrastructure to support rapidly scaling product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
- Mentor junior team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and pair programming.
- Write comprehensive tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotational work to ensure uninterrupted support and emergency resolution.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Proven experience with software development best practices and coding standards.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical cross-functional partners.
- Must be based in the United States or Canada.
- Strong passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience building or maintaining billing, payment processing, or subscription platforms (e.g., Stripe, app stores).
- Background in designing and scaling highly available, fault-tolerant distributed architectures.
- Proven ability to build resilient API integrations, including webhooks, retries, and strict idempotency.
