What you will do

• Develop and evolve backend services and platform components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design Kafka-based event-driven services with a focus on ordering, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Build and maintain high-throughput systems using PostgreSQL with a focus on data integrity and performance.
• Deploy and operate services within Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Drive architectural decisions regarding system scalability, latency, and reliability.
• Own critical systems end-to-end, from initial design to production monitoring and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Must be based in Stockholm, Sweden for 100% on-site work.
• Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Substantial experience building reliable, high-performance distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, including transaction design and query performance.
• Experience with event-streaming systems like Kafka.
• Proficiency in deploying and operating services in Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-integrity domains such as fintech, payments, or trading.
• Knowledge of multi-region system design and low-latency routing.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automated delivery pipelines.
• Background in capacity planning and performance regression prevention.
