TL;DR
NPU Accelerator SW Engineer (Automotive AI): Developing and integrating low-level software for NPU accelerators in automotive-grade MCUs and MPUs with an accent on real-time operation, safety compliance, and embedded AI/ML workloads. Focus on integrating accelerator functionality into AUTOSAR, RTOS, and embedded Linux stacks, debugging target hardware, and optimizing memory, DMA, and performance behavior.

What you will do
- Develop and integrate low-level software enabling NPU accelerators on automotive-grade MCUs and MPUs.
- Integrate NPU functionality into BSPs and layered automotive software stacks while meeting real-time and safety requirements.
- Support AI/ML workloads in AUTOSAR, other RTOS environments, and embedded Linux.
- Collaborate with hardware, AI/ML, and systems engineering teams to define and optimize accelerator usage.
- Debug, validate, and tune performance on target automotive hardware.
- Apply automotive safety standards and coding guidelines, including ISO 26262 and MISRA C/C++.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of embedded software development experience with Embedded C/C++.
- Experience integrating NPU or AI accelerators into embedded systems.
- Proficiency with bare-metal or RTOS environments and/or embedded Linux, including Yocto or Buildroot.
- Experience integrating software into large, layered automotive software stacks.
- Strong understanding of hardware-software interfaces, memory-mapped I/O, and DMA.
Nice to have
- Experience with TensorFlow Lite or ONNX Runtime in embedded automotive contexts.
- Knowledge of functional safety, ASPICE, and MISRA compliance.
- Exposure to ADAS, sensor fusion, or audio algorithms using AI/ML software stacks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and agile development methodologies.
- Experience with DSP, HiFi5, accelerator firmware or driver development, performance optimization, or multicore programming.
