TL;DR
Software Engineer (Automotive Embedded): Developing and integrating AUTOSAR-based IOC software for Telematics Control Units with an accent on low-level C programming, CAN communication, diagnostics, and real-time automotive systems. Focus on configuring AUTOSAR modules, optimizing embedded software, solving integration and reliability issues, and validating TCU behavior through functional, unit, system, and end-of-line testing.
Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with most office-based roles onsite three days per week
Salary: RON 246,000–360,800 annual gross base salary

What you will do
- Develop and integrate Input/Output Controller software for Telematics Control Units across the AUTOSAR Classic stack.
- Configure AUTOSAR modules, including MCAL, BSW, OS, RTE, and software components, using DaVinci tools.
- Implement and optimize low-level drivers, CDDs, peripheral interfaces, and vehicle communication features.
- Perform CAN simulation, diagnostics, functional, unit, and system-level testing using tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANdela.
- Support system integration and End-of-Line testing, investigate root causes, fix defects, and validate changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong system-level embedded software expertise and advanced C programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic, including MCAL, BSW, RTE, and software component development.
- Experience configuring AUTOSAR OS, RTE, MCAL, and BSW modules.
- Practical experience with automotive microcontrollers such as RH850 or S32K and with RTOS concepts.
- Knowledge of automotive peripherals including UART, SPI, CAN, ADC, and PWM, plus UDS diagnostics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automatic Control, or a related field; English proficiency and willingness to travel are required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of HSM features, secure boot, key handling, and AUTOSAR cryptographic services.
- Experience with telematics projects and automotive development standards.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
