What you will do

• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for Data Platform workloads and Flink deployments.
• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Manage EKS-based infrastructure, including node pools, autoscaling, and operational reliability.
• Evolve Flink deployment patterns using AWS Managed Flink and Flink Operator.
• Contribute to OpenSearch architecture, security, and Terraform implementation.
• Optimize platform costs through Karpenter tuning and GitLab runner optimization.

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS infrastructure in high-scale engineering environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design, specifically using GitLab CI.
• Experience with Apache Flink or similar streaming data-processing technologies.
• Proficient in Python scripting or development.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenSearch infrastructure, configuration, and security policies.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Kafka Connect, or event-driven data pipelines.
• Experience managing GitLab runners on Kubernetes/EKS.
• Track record of reducing AWS infrastructure costs through workload optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical workshops.
