What you will do

• Act as the primary technical authority for the Flight Test Engineering pillar across field engineering and data analysis tracks.
• Manage test planning methodology, including test cards, instrumentation plans, telemetry stacks, and post-flight reviews.
• Serve as the Flight Director equivalent for major campaigns, coordinating crews and ensuring testing priorities are clear.
• Lead the engineering interface with GNC, Autonomy, and Avionics teams.
• Oversee the Engineering career path, including selection, mentoring, and promotion of staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering, with at least 5 years in Flight Test and 2+ years in team leadership.
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Demonstrated end-to-end responsibility for flight test campaigns from initial planning to certification evidence.
• German: C1+ proficiency required
• English: C1+ proficiency required
• Location: Must be based in Munich, Germany

Nice to have

• PhD in Flight Dynamics, Control, or Autonomy.
• Experience with Loitering Munitions or Live-Warhead campaigns.
• Working knowledge of STANAG 4671.
• Familiarity with PX4 or ArduPilot codebase.
