What you will do
- Act as the primary technical authority for the Flight Test Engineering pillar across field engineering and data analysis tracks.
- Manage test planning methodology, including test cards, instrumentation plans, telemetry stacks, and post-flight reviews.
- Serve as the Flight Director equivalent for major campaigns, coordinating crews and ensuring testing priorities are clear.
- Lead the engineering interface with GNC, Autonomy, and Avionics teams.
- Oversee the Engineering career path, including selection, mentoring, and promotion of staff.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering, with at least 5 years in Flight Test and 2+ years in team leadership.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering.
- Demonstrated end-to-end responsibility for flight test campaigns from initial planning to certification evidence.
- German: C1+ proficiency required
- English: C1+ proficiency required
- Location: Must be based in Munich, Germany
Nice to have
- PhD in Flight Dynamics, Control, or Autonomy.
- Experience with Loitering Munitions or Live-Warhead campaigns.
- Working knowledge of STANAG 4671.
- Familiarity with PX4 or ArduPilot codebase.
