Data Engineering Intern (ETL & Python)

Location: Onsite in Woodlands, Singapore. Travel: None.

What you will do

• Work with senior engineers on ETL processes in Oracle and Postgres, including stored procedures, functions, and packages.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Use Python for automation, data processing, and proof-of-concept development.
• Collaborate with application architects and business SMEs on data integration solutions for MES and factory applications.
• Contribute to GenAI-enabled data pipelines using LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, and Marimo notebooks.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, system reliability, and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals, including stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
• Python skills and interest in ETL automation and analytics.
• Academic or project-based experience with ETL pipelines in Oracle or Postgres.
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Chainlit, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Git and Agile practices, with strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
