Software Engineer (Electronic Warfare)

What you will do

• Design high-performance C++ software for real-time signal processing, waveform manipulation, and electronic warfare functions.
• Develop anti-jamming techniques, frequency hopping, adaptive filtering, and RF threat-detection algorithms.
• Build software for RF sensing, signal detection, and situational awareness in dynamic environments.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to calibrate RF front-ends against physical constraints.
• Own the development cycle from mathematical modelling and system design through bench testing and field trials.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern C/C++, including memory management, concurrency, and performance analysis.
• Professional experience in Electronic Warfare or a strong background in RF processing and the electromagnetic spectrum.
• Knowledge of DSP, Fourier methods, modulation theory, and RF propagation.
• Experience with embedded systems and Linux networking, particularly radio-based mesh networks or point-to-point links.
• Strong systems-design and detailed implementation skills with clear technical communication.
• Work is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with MIMO antenna systems, beamforming, or software-defined radio platforms such as USRP, PlutoSDR, or LimeSDR.
• Familiarity with GNU Radio, high-performance computing, benchmarking, or cryptographic standards for over-the-air transmissions.
• Experience designing custom protocols, RF waveforms, or low-bandwidth and high-latency communications.
• Knowledge of jamming theory, cognitive radio, EW tactics, QAM, QPSK, or OFDM.
• Background in defence and aerospace, robotics, radar systems, encrypted tactical communications, or mathematically driven system design.
