Lead Firmware Engineer (AI)

Location: Lund, Sweden; onsite role

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for a firmware team while remaining actively involved in engineering.
• Translate use cases into clear requirements and strengthen design-first architecture practices.
• Lead AI development and improve productivity and quality through structured methods.
• Build and maintain testing capabilities, frameworks, and continuous test suites.
• Coordinate firmware work across development teams and align deliveries with AXIS OS releases.
• Present delivered features to product managers, managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a firmware engineer.
• Solid experience in architecture design.
• Experience in technical leadership roles, with or without direct reports.
• Professional proficiency in Swedish and English.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, drive improvements, and lead through collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience developing in C in a Linux environment, ideally embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with Axis products and systems.
• Experience with AI development or productivity and quality improvements using agile methods and AI.
• Experience facilitating backlog refinement, prioritization, demos, and retrospectives.
