Product Lead (Fintech): Owning a clear slice of a product or journey within the Consumer Deposits or Payments platforms with an accent on problem definition, delivery, and ongoing optimization. Focus on leading discovery and delivery within a stable cross-functional team, balancing customer desirability, commercial viability, and regulatory requirements.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, or Manchester. Work style is hybrid (at least 40% of time in office).

Salary: £61,344–£68,160

What you will do

  • Own a clear slice of a product or journey from problem definition through to delivery and optimization.
  • Lead discovery and delivery within a stable cross-functional product team.
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog based on evidence and customer insight.
  • Ensure safe and compliant delivery within the organization’s risk appetite.
  • Balance customer desirability, commercial viability, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the growth of others through coaching and contribution to product communities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience owning outcomes for a product, feature, or journey.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making capability.
  • Confidence using data, insight, and experimentation to guide decisions.
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
  • Awareness of risk, controls, and regulation in product delivery.

  • Exposure to mobile-first or large-scale digital products.
