What you will do

• Produce audio and compile radio news bulletins for hirify.global Local Radio stations across England and the Channel Islands.
• Read news bulletins on-air every weekday evening as one of the primary voices of the service.
• Collaborate with colleagues to curate and deliver the biggest stories of the day to local radio.
• Showcase the best of local journalism to wider audiences and manage high-impact guests.
• Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to the output of the Central Team.

Requirements

• Must identify as deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent (eligible for the hirify.global Extend programme).
• Substantial journalism experience producing accurate and engaging news content under tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in preparing and reading news bulletins with a professional broadcast voice.
• Experience in live reporting on breaking news or major events.
• Strong working knowledge of media law and hirify.global editorial guidelines.
• Mandatory submission of a voice demonstration (max 3 minutes).

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of hirify.global products such as hirify.global News Online and hirify.global Sounds.
• Experience collaborating with national news and planning teams to create high-impact moments.
