Education Content Manager

TL;DR

Education Content Manager (EdTech): Managing the full lifecycle of educational resources for national-scale qualifications with an accent on commissioning, stakeholder collaboration, and content quality. Focus on translating subject complexity into accessible digital and print materials to support thousands of teachers and learners.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Guildford, Milton Keynes, London, or Manchester. Role is hybrid with approximately 2 days per week in the office.

Salary: £35,500–£41,600 (depending on location).

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of educational content from planning and commissioning to delivery and retirement.
• Collaborate with subject experts, internal product teams, and external contributors to create high-quality resources.
• Write clear briefs and ensure all content aligns with strategic goals, quality standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Monitor content performance using data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple subjects.
• Support the transition toward digital-first content approaches and innovative resource formats.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK with the ability to work in a hybrid capacity.
• Proven experience in content development, commissioning, or management within education or publishing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with external partners or freelancers.
• Proficiency in content or design tools and a focus on clarity, usability, and quality.
• Degree or equivalent experience in education, publishing, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Subject expertise in Maths, Science, or English.
• Experience managing content at scale across a broad portfolio of subjects.
• Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional organizational environment.
