What you will do

• Build intuitive, reliable, and performant user interfaces for complex mission management software under demanding real-world constraints.
• Design and implement framework-less UIs using native Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM).
• Rapidly prototype new features for field testing and systematically refactor them into production-grade systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and Backend engineers to implement critical features such as weapons engagement, target tracking, and map layouts.
• Identify and resolve difficult technical rendering and telemetry challenges.
• Translate user stories and epics into clear technical tickets to ensure smooth development cycles.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of vanilla TypeScript/JavaScript and the native Web Platform (DOM API, Event Loop, Performance Profiling).
• Hands-on experience building scalable UI architectures using native Web Components without relying on heavy frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Pragmatic engineering mindset with the ability to balance rapid prototyping and disciplined refactoring.
• Collaborative "team first" mindset and excellent communication skills for a fast-paced startup environment.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data streaming architectures, specifically WebSockets and WebRTC for low-latency video.
• Experience handling high-frequency telemetry data or geographic map and canvas rendering in the browser.
• Prior experience in the automotive, aerospace, defense, or gaming industries.
• German language skills.
