Guidance Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Must be based in the UK, eligible for UK Security Clearance, and able to work from Devon 2-3 days per week

What you will do

• Design and test control and navigation algorithms.
• Program control algorithms using C++ and ROS 2 framework with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Integrate ROS 2 packages into an autonomous system using MAVLink protocol to control autopilots.
• Deploy software into the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem.
• Write and prepare documentation for algorithms, testing, and systems.
• Collaborate within a fast-paced startup environment to solve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
• Expertise in C/C++ and experience with Embedded Systems.
• Hands-on experience programming with ROS 2 and MAVLink protocols.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
• Willingness to be onsite in Devon 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autopilots such as Ardupilot or Px4.
