What you will do

• Develop, own, and maintain the Regional Data Architecture Blueprint to define the data landscape and governing principles.
• Connect strategic business objectives to data needs using a Business Object Model and define the data domain structure.
• Create logical data models that serve as the implementation-agnostic bridge between business requirements and physical design.
• Translate business requirements into structured specifications for engineering and delivery teams, covering entities, attributes, and quality specs.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to embed a "data by design" approach across applications, integration, and platforms.
• Mentor stakeholders to build internal data capability and support the delivery of responsible AI solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sydney, Australia.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or similar roles.
• Strong business-facing experience, ideally within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of data domains, ontologies, and logical modelling.
• Proven experience supporting data products and AI/ML use cases.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience building data architecture capability from a low maturity baseline.
• Ability to connect organizational operations with data structure requirements.
• Strong workshop facilitation skills across both business and technical teams.
