What you will do

• Build backend and infrastructure systems to extend the API platform into cloud-native environments, such as AWS.
• Design and ship cloud-contained products that allow customers to keep workloads and data within their own cloud environments.
• Develop cloud-hosted Codex experiences powered by the hirify.global Responses API.
• Build infrastructure and runtime abstractions for a stateful, cloud-optimized agentic platform.
• Collaborate with external cloud partners and internal teams across Research and Safety Systems to productionize emerging capabilities.
• Optimize the reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of core underpinning services.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in tech and product-driven companies.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Experience building developer tools, specifically AI-powered tools.
• Proven track record of production service ownership and working with cloud infrastructure primitives.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous tasks and manage competing priorities in a fast-growing environment.
