Jr. Geospatial Analyst (GIS)

TL;DR

Jr. Geospatial Analyst (GIS): Performing data collection, analysis, and management for a DHS program with an accent on geospatial research and threat assessments. Focus on designing statistical analysis methodologies and preparing technical presentations for homeland security mission areas.

Location: Primarily remote, but on-site meetings in Springfield, VA may be required. Public Trust Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Perform data collection, analysis, interpretation, and management duties.
• Prepare presentations that reflect the results of data analysis.
• Collaborate with scientists and technical experts to design and develop statistical analysis methodologies.
• Conduct research for homeland security mission areas, including critical infrastructure protection and flood risk modeling.
• Prepare assessments of current threats and trends using classified and open-source information.
• Lead technical demonstrations and exchanges on generated analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography or a related field.
• 6+ years of GIS experience.
• 6+ years of experience with ESRI Suite, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and AWS.
• Knowledge of DHS Policies and Procedures.
• Must possess a Public Trust Clearance.
• Ability to attend on-site meetings in Springfield, VA.
