What you will do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adapt existing UI/UX systems for new platforms while preserving core gameplay workflows.
  • Review existing interfaces to identify and resolve friction points in navigation, readability, and accessibility.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, and mockups that support new input methods and platform-specific interaction patterns.
  • Maintain visual consistency with the established style and information hierarchy of the original game.
  • Participate in playtests and usability evaluations to refine designs based on player feedback.
  • Advocate for player-centered design and accessibility throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for games.
  • Strong understanding of information hierarchy, readability, usability, and interaction design principles.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Experience designing interfaces for complex gameplay systems or feature-rich applications.
  • Understanding of controller-first UX patterns and platform-specific user expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and iterate on feedback within a production environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience working on game ports, remasters, or platform adaptations.
  • Background in visual design, typography, and information visualization.
  • Experience conducting user testing and applying findings to design improvements.
  • Familiarity with console, PC, and cross-platform user experience considerations.
