Senior Fullstack Engineer (Electron)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Electron/Node.js/React): Designing and building complex software systems including backend services and thick client desktop applications with an accent on secure, performance-sensitive environments and structured data processing. Location: Remote (Must have US Secret Clearance to start)

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 a year

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end solutions including backend services, RESTful APIs, and thick client desktop applications.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform desktop apps using Electron or similar frameworks.
• Architect secure communication between client applications and backend services.
• Build scalable systems for processing and validating structured data such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver responsive, high-performance desktop user interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the establishment of team engineering standards.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance (Must have to start).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in backend frameworks (Java, Python, Node.js, or C#/.NET) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular).
• Proven experience developing thick client desktop applications with Electron or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with client-server architecture and inter-process communication.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Optimization of Electron applications for memory, performance, and security.
• Experience with geospatial visualization frameworks or advanced data visualization libraries.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and static code analysis tools.
• Experience supporting government or highly regulated development programs.
