Salary: $150,000–$160,000.

What you will do
- Lead full stack development across front end and back end systems for federal modernization workstreams.
- Plan and execute technical roadmaps independently with high autonomy.
- Serve as the primary technical lead, communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
- Evolve complex, ambiguous systems to surface constraints and identify new opportunities.
- Reduce technical ambiguity through documentation, refactoring, and automated testing.
- Support bid writing, tech demos, and client-facing communications.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States and able to pass a federal background investigation.
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of software engineering experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in a major full stack technology stack.
- Strong experience with back end development using Python or Java.
- Proficiency with front end development using Angular or similar modern frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
Nice to have
- Experience modernizing legacy systems within a federal agency environment.
- Familiarity with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Terraform, or containerized deployment patterns.
- Prior work on federal records, licensing, or copyright systems.
