TL;DR

Test Engineer (Cybersecurity): Developing and executing automated and manual test plans for large-scale government incident response systems with an accent on security testing and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on ensuring system integrity through Java-based automation, security validation, and adherence to CISA and NIST frameworks.

Location: Onsite (USA). Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active Secret clearance.

What you will do

• Define, plan, and perform test assignments for complex software and hardware systems.
• Establish automated and manual test methods, develop test plans, and write procedures and reports.
• Collaborate on establishing language, database, and computer requirements alongside configuration management techniques.
• Implement testing using state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks such as SAFe.
• Analyze test results and communicate deviations from customer requirements to management and teams.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret clearance (must be able to obtain TS/SCI and DHS Suitability).
• 6+ years of directly relevant experience, ideally in an agile environment.
• 2+ years of automated and/or manual test experience.
• Proficiency with Java, Cucumber, Gherkin, and CI/CD tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Git, Chef, and Ansible.
• Ability to plan and conduct security testing.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or HS diploma with 7+ years experience).

Nice to have

• Hands-on DevOps or DevSecOps experience.
• Familiarity with CISA practices and NIST SP 800-218 Secure Software Development Framework.
• Experience with automated testing solutions like Selenium, Puppeteer, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL.
• Certifications: DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II, CSTP, AWS, or SAFe certifications.
