Emergency WPE Coordinator (Humanitarian)

What you will do

• Lead strategic direction and technical management of WPE emergency responses, including GBV case management and prevention.
• Conduct multisector needs assessments and stakeholder analysis to identify protection risks for women and girls.
• Develop and implement emergency WPE strategies, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and IRC standards.
• Manage grant implementation, including budget oversight, procurement, and M&E systems.
• Recruit, train, and supervise emergency staff, fostering a professional and collaborative team environment.
• Coordinate with UN agencies, donors, and local partners to advocate for standardized GBV programming.

Requirements

• Post-graduate degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in GBV response programming at a Coordinator level or above.
• Proven track record in managing multi-donor portfolios and acute emergency start-ups.
• Fluency in English required; working knowledge of Arabic, French, or Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure, fluid humanitarian environments.
• Strong communication and proposal writing skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with IRC systems and processes.
• Familiarity with donor regulations such as UNHCR, FCDO, BPRM, and ECHO.
